Associate Planner Jacob Callister


Associate Planner Jacob Callister specializes in land use planning, economic / natural resources, and GIS analysis. Jake joined the LCOG staff in 2007 and works closely with citizens, staff, and elected officials of both small and large communities on a wide variety of projects. He recently worked on an extensive UGB Expansion Study for the City of Coburg, and has specialty in the areas of Buildable Lands Inventory, Housing Needs Analysis, Economic Opportunities Analysis, and Expansion Alternatives Analysis. Jake also provides land use planning support for the Cities of Drain, Yoncalla and Oakland, and has been key staff for a natural resource planning project to complete and adopt local wetlands inventories for 8 small cities in Lane, Linn and Benton Counties.

Jacob holds a B.S. in Recreation Resource Management from Utah State University and a Master's in Community and Regional Planning from University of Oregon. Jacob teaches an Introduction to GIS course at the University of Oregon 2 terms a year. Jacob has previously worked for the National Center for Biking and Walking, the Utah Governor's Office of Planning and Budget, and in GIS for the City of Logan, Utah.
