SALARY: $3,989 – $5,091/month depending on experience and certification

Curry County Road Department is accepting applications for a full time Sr. Accounting Specialist.  Performs technical accounting work for a complete cost accounting system.  Performs the duties of office receptionist for the Road Department and other related work as required.  Requires high school graduation or equivalent; three years of progressively responsible clerical work in the accounting area with exposure to basic accounting principles; or any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training.  Requires considerable knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

The City Administrator is the Chief Executive Officer of the City and exercises supervision over its general affairs, and all departments and employees. The City Administrator is also the City Recorder and performs duties and responsibilities of the City Recorder position as identified in the City Charter. This is a part-time (less than 20 hours a week), non-benefited position. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule. Provide a safe, clean environment for Recreation Center patrons. Instruct patrons on the use of cardio and strength training equipment. Create and implement training materials and classes in fitness and health for patrons. Recruit and train fitness instructors. Assist in the advertising and marketing of the department through social media, publications, and participation in community/department events.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Oregon Driver's License at time of hire. 
  • First Aid/CPR and AED certification within 30 days of hire. 
  • Personal Trainer Certification within 3 months of hire.

Ensure the safety of all patrons and visitors to the City's Swimming Pool. Oversee patrons in pool setting and perform water rescue as needed. Educate patrons on, and model pool safety procedures. Maintain a safe, sanitary work environment. Provide high quality customer service to all patrons, visitors and guests.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Certifications in CPR/ First Aid within 30 days of hire. 
  • Lifeguard certification within 30 days of hire. 
  • Knowledge of basic water safety at time of hire. 
  • Blood Borne Pathogen training required within 30 days of hire.

Recreation Leader

SALARY: $13.10/hour

Provide healthy, safe recreation experiences for children and adult participants and volunteers in recreation activities and programs. Oversee small groups of children independently and large groups of children as a member of a team. Position is a frontline Mandatory Reporter position, and must have the ability to communicate with DHS or other agencies with any related issues. 

Valid Oregon Driver's License at time of hire. Certification in infant and child CPR, and First Aid within 3 months of hire. Adult CPR and AED within 6 months of hire. Oregon Food Handler's License within 2 weeks of hire.
